DOPT issued fresh guide lines regarding prevention of sexual harassment of working women at work place, in its order No.11013/3/2009-Estt.(A) dtd 21/07/2009.In its order it is clearly defined the word "Sexualy harassment",it includes such unwelcome sexually determined behaviour, whether directly of otherwise, as
1.Physical contact and advances,
2.Demand or request for sexual favours,
3.sexually coloured remarks
4.Showing any pornography, or
5.any other unwelcome physical,verbal, or non-verbal conduct of a sexual nature
DOPT directed all the Ministries/Departments to set up an appropriate complaint mechanism.Such complaint mechanism should ensure time bound treatment of complaints.
