Postal Deparment is going to be introduced MO Videsh Service

Dear Comrades,
Department of Post is going to be intorduced MO Videsh Service.Through this service we can send money to Foreign Countries.Some of the sailent features are as under
1.Maximum amount to be sent is equivalent to US $2500
2.Eurogiro Post Office (EGPO) is going to be established at PTC Mysore and it will work under the control of Director PTC Mysore.
3.Up to Rs.50000/- all transactions will be handled in the form of cash, Above Rs.50000/-will be handled only in the form of Cheque.There is a fecility to debit/credit to POSB account.
4.There should not exceed 12 transaction per year.
5.All the foreign transactions will be handled by EGPO and further the MO will be transmitted through EMO.While sneding MO Videsh we have to send EMO to EGPO futher it will be processed by EGPO.
