REIMBURSEMENT OF MEDICAL CLAIM BY CGHS BENIFICIARIES FROM CGHS( or Dept.) AS WELL AS INSURANCE COMPANY

Now Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in its order No.S.11011/4/2003 CGHS-P dtd 19/02/2009 it is clarified that Government servants covered under CGHS and CSMA Rules 1944, can claim their medical expenses from two sources-From Insurance agencies and from the CGHS or from the Ministry/Department.First you have to claim from insurance agency and then you have to apply for CGHS or Ministry/Department.
