DOPT issued clarification regrding Disclosure of 'File noting' under the RTI Act-2005

DOPT in its order dated 23/06/2009 it is clarified that File Noting can be disclosed except file noting containing information exempt from disclosure under section 8 of the Act.This order is more benificial to the general public and employees to ask the information under RTI Act-2005 and Government decesions will be more transperent.For full text and copy of original order please click the following link.

Re-Verification of Membership for recognition of Service Associations – Rajasthan High Court directed the Department not to finalize the re-verificati

In response to the petition filed by Sri Jawan Mal Mewara,CS Bharatiya Postal Employees Union Class-III,Rajasthan Circle, The Honourable High Court of Rajasthan at Jodhpur has stayed the finalisation of re-verification of membership of service unions till further orders vide its order dated 19/05/2009 in S.B.Civil writ petition No.5037/2009.

Deep Condolences to the family of Com.N.S.C.Bose

Com.N.Subhash Chandra Bose B.C.R.P.A,Narasarao Pet HO suddenly expired on 10/06/09 in the Post Office premises.He worked as Divisional Secretary,Narasarao Pet Division and served our comrades in fight for their rights.His absence is a big loss to our entire postal fraternity.My self ,Com. Nageswar Rao(R.R-Vijayawada Region) and Divisional Secretary Guntur and Narsarao Pet attended cremation on 12/06/09. AIPEU Group-C AP circle grateful to his services to postal employees and conveys deepest condolences to his family members.

DOPT issued Holidays list to be observed by the Central Government Offices in the year 2010 vide their letter dated 09/06/2009. In addition to the following 14 compulsory holidays, circle co-ordination committee will decide 3 more holidays from the list No.2. Total there are 17 holidays. Bonvoyage to Com.K.V.Sreedharan



Our General Secretary Com.K.V.Sridharan lef to Bankok(Thailand) to attend an international seminar conducted by Union Network International-Asia Pacific Regional Organisation(UNI-APRO) which is going to be held from 8th June to 11th June 2009.Its a good opportunity to present our country's postal situation before the international dias.Union Network International (UNI) is an international union which has 13 sectors and Three Groups.It has the following 13 sectors Cleaning & Security,Commerce,Finance,Gaming,Graphical & Packaging,IT & Services
Media,Entertainments&Arts,Post&Logistics,SocialInsurance,Telecom,Temp&Agency,Workers,Tourism and Managers / Professionals,Women Workers,Young Workers these three groups.We are representing the post&logistic sector from India.Its a good fora to improve the knowledge by sharing the experiences and latest updates from other countries and expect the impact of the global recession on India especially on Postal department and chalkout the future course of action to resist anti employee and anti union policies of the government.Our federation is an affiliate of UNI.On behalf of AIPEU-Group-C AP Circle I congratulate Com.K.V.Sridharan for participating in the Seminar and I convey my Best wishes also.

DOPT issued a good order in case of minor penalty

As per the DOPT OM No.134/9/86-AVD-I dtd 31/07/1987 it was clarified that the Central Government has the power to with hold orwith draw pension even as a result of minor penaty proceedings instituted against a charged officerduring his service and which had continued after his retirement provided grave misconduct or negligence is established.Now this order has been set aside by the court and earlier OM No.134/10/80-AVD-I dtd 28/02/1981 which intera alia stated that grave misconduct or negligence cannot be establidhed as a result of minor penalty proceedings.For full text of the order can be down loaded by clicking the following link.

Travel entitlement for the purpose of Leave Travel

DOPT in consultation with Finance Ministry and it has now been decided to restore the travel entitlements for LTC as stipulated vide OM dated 23/09/08. The ministry of Civil Aviation may bring out a scheme on the lines of LTC 80 for travel by business class.The officers and/or their families may choose to travel on LTC by any aitline provided the fare does not exceed th fares offered by NACIL(Air India) under their new LTC scheme for business class.For full text of the signed copy of the order can be down loaded by clicking the following link.

Encashment of earned leave alongwith Leave Travel

New order issued by DOPT regarding encashment of EL along with LTC.Now the DOPT in consultation with Finance Ministry and it has now been decided to permit Government Servants encashment of earned leave up to 10 days at the time of availing LTC with out any linkage to the number of days and the nature of leave availed while proceeding on LTC.For full text of the signed order copy please click the following link
