                        The Minutes of Bi-Monthly meeting of Hyderabad City Region by Director of Postal Services (Hqrs) with the representatives of All India Postal Employees Union Group-C (NFPE) held on 07.05.2014 in the Conference Hall of Dak Sadan, O/o the CPMG, A.P. Circle, Hyderabad is produced below. The following have attended the meeting.

1-08/ 2013	Provision of Gate at the entrance at Banjara Hills PO.        SSPOs replied that the matter was taken up the Circle Office on 20.11.2012 as it is beyond the powers of the SSPOs, Hyderabad City Division. Expedite action immediately.	This will be done soon.
1-10/ 2013	Proposal for conversion of Swarajyanagar NDSO into delivery SO.           SSPOs, Hyderabad City Division replied in the monthly meeting held on 26/7/2013 under item No. 19 of 8/2012 that proposal submitted to Circle Office for conversion. Expedite action immediately.	Circle Office issued orders vide memo No. Est/9-7/36 dated 13.12.2013 to upgrade Swarajyanagar NDSO to DSO.          However, SSPOs, Hyderabad City Division vide letter No. A3-86/Swarjyanagar dated 3.3.2014 intimated that efforts were made for suitable accommodation to locate upgraded Swarajyanagar DSO by floating tenders on 08.01.2014 by fixing last date as 7.2.2014. But, no bid was received.          The SSPOs further intimated that the local Corporator has been addressed to cooperate with the department in finding suitable accommodation in Mothinagar area. Further the existing landlord Sri Satyanarayana Murthy, President, Sanathnagar Co-operative Housing Society, Mothinagar, Hyderabad and Sri B Sitharamaiah, Secretary, Sanathnagar Co-operative Housing Society, Mothinagar, Hyderabad were also requested to provide additional accommodation in the existing building on 08.01.2014.          ITEM CLOSED
3-10/ 2013	Immediate shifting of Sakkubai Nagar ‘C’ class SO in Hyderabad City Division.          Present the PO is existing in cattle shed. Staff are working in that office breathing pollution with foul smell. Immediate shifting of the PO is requested.	No alternate accommodation could secured so far to shift the PO. Report of the SSPOs is still awaited.        It is suggested that the authorities of Narayanamma Engineering College may be requested to provide accommodation for Post Office. SSPOs, Hyderabad City Division will take necessary action and report compliance.

1-05/ 2014	Implementation of Directorate guidelines by SSPOs, Hyderabad City Division while ordering rotational transfers to PSD, Hyderabad.         SSPOs, Hyderabad City Division is not implementing the Directorate guidelines while ordering rotational transfers to Hyderabad PSD. Suitable orders may be issued to SSPOs to implement the Directorate orders.	The transfer orders for PSD, Hyderabad are ordered by Circle Office. Therefore, there is no role of Hyderabad City Division in this regard.            It is said that SSPOs, Hyderabad City Division is competent to post / transfer the officials in PSD, Hyderabad. Staff Section of Circle Office will re-examine the issue in detail.
2-05/ 2014	Provision of separate UPS to MBC Banjarahills.         At present only one 5 KV UPS is provided for both Banjarahills SO and MBC Banjarahills. There are 10 computers, 7 printers, 5 scanners are connected in the Banjarahills SO. There are 7 computers, 3 printers, 3 scanners and 5 high speed franking machines are in the BMC Banjarahills connected to same 5 KV UPS. All the above computers, printers, scanners and high speed franking machines are connected to one UPS. Because of high load the UPS is tripping off number of times a day. Hence a separate UPS may please be provided for BMC Banjarahills for smooth functioning of office at Banjarahills SO.	The existing 5 KVA UPS of Banjara Hills P.O.   is   being shared by PO with MBC. The UPS provided to Banjara Hills PO is sufficient only for the PO operations.          In respect of MBC Banjarahills, as per the Directorate instructions, one 2 KVA UPS is being procured for MBC Banjarahills under 12th five year plan. Supply order is already places for the said UPS which will be received shortly.  ITEM CLOSED
3-05/ 2014	Discontinuation of Speed post 2nd delivery at the following offices. i.e. Cyberabad SO, Lingampally SO, Kothaguda SO, Yousufguda SO.         The above offices are receiving speed post mail of 2nd delivery after 02:30 PM. There is a vast delivery area and number of articles are very less for 2nd delivery. Hence it is requested to discontinue 2nd delivery of speed post in the above offices.	Statistics collected for 6 days indicate that nearly 180 speed post articles per day for the mentioned offices will get delivery advantage through second delivery. It is also noticed that the second delivery articles are being received through MMS schedules to the mentioned offices before 15:00 Hrs.             Hence, the second delivery in Yousufguda, Cyberabad, Kothaguda, Lingampally will be continued as nearly 180 Speed Post articles will get delivery advantage.              SSPOs, Hyderabad City Division will review the scheduled and requirement of the manpower in these SOs for Speed Post second delivery and take suitable action to make Speed Post second delivery effective. 4.   The Assistant Director (Buildings), Circle Office, Hyderabad. He is requested to take necessary action on the item No’s. 1-08/2013, 3-10/2013.

5.   The Assistant Director (Mails & MM), Circle Office, Hyderabad. He is requested to take necessary action on the item No’s. 2-05/2014, 3-05/2014.

6.   The Assistant Director (Technology), Circle Office, Hyderabad. He is requested to take necessary action on the item No’s. 2-05/2014.

                           It is requested to take necessary action as per the replies and endorse copy to the union cell on the action taken as progress report is to be submitted to DPS (Hqrs).
