8% DA Hike for Central Govt. Employees approved by Cabinet

Dear Comrades,

Today Union Cabinet met under the Chairman ship of Dr.Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister and approved 8% DA hike for Central Govenment Employees w.e.f 01/01/2010. DA hike orders will be released in next week by the Finance Ministry (i.e after receiving the cabint meeting minutes).

  1. I think this will be highest DA hike in the recent time and it may be the last as the base index year is going to be changed from 1980. Preparation are on by the uninon govt to change the base index year that will decide the Dearness Allowance

  2. Yes comrade while we are glad that we got the highest percentage of DA this time, the fact also cannot be ignored that it denotes the highest rise in prices of essential commodities that will have a serious blow to the common poor.

DOPT issued a wonderfull order regarding Govt. servants covered by New Pension Scheme

According to this order Govt. Servants who appointed on or after 01/01/2004 will cover New Pension Scheme can get Provisional Pension according to Old Pension Scheme where Govt.Servant Died/Retired on medical invalidation.For details Please click this link to down load the order
