Payment of Dearness relief to re-employed pensioners and employed Family pensioners

Dear Comrdes,
Consequent upon the revision in ignorable amount of pension from Rs.1500/- to Rs.4000/-in terms of DOPT OM No.3/13/2008-Estt.(Pay-I) dtd 11/11/2008, the amount of Rs.1500/- appeared in OM dtd 02/07/1999 is revised as Rs.4000/-.The other conditions for grant of DR to re-employed pensioner/family pensioner remain the same.For full text of the order copy please click the below link

Concerted effort to increase representation of Women in central Govt. Jobs

in continuation of this website posting dated 01/07/2009 and DOPT order dated 30/06/2009 now DOPT issued orders to increase women representation in Central Govt. Jobs.In order to ensure that adequate lady candidates are attracted to Central Govt.Jobs and to encourage them to apply for vacancies in the Central Government, it has now been decided that all advertisements/circuars for recruitment to Central Govt. jobs should invariably mention prominently that "Government strives to have a workforce which reflects gender balance and women candidates are encouraged to apply".For full text of the order copy please click the following link

Benefit of reservation to persons with disability who acquire disability after entering in to Govt.Service

DOPT in its order No.36035/3/2009-Estt.(Res.) dtd 10/06/2009 it is clarified that the OM dated 29/12/2005 doesnot make any distinction between persons acquiring disability before or after entering in to service.An employee who acquirs disability after entering in to service will be entitled to get the benifit of reservation as a person with disability as provided in the instructions contained in the OM dtd.29/12/2005 from the date he produces a valid certificate of disability. REIMBURSEMENT OF MEDICAL CLAIM BY CGHS BENIFICIARIES FROM CGHS( or Dept.) AS WELL AS INSURANCE COMPANY

Now Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in its order No.S.11011/4/2003 CGHS-P dtd 19/02/2009 it is clarified that Government servants covered under CGHS and CSMA Rules 1944, can claim their medical expenses from two sources-From Insurance agencies and from the CGHS or from the Ministry/Department.First you have to claim from insurance agency and then you have to apply for CGHS or Ministry/Department. DOPT Issued a good order regarding representation of Women membership on the various committees/Boards concerned with selection to Group C&D Posts

The working group of National Committee on the international Women's Year at its second meeting held during August 1975 made the following recommendations
"The various bodies which are concerned with the selection of candidates are generally composed of men.There are instances to show that there is discrimination against women which is a part of the prevailing social attitude. The removal of such attitude will take some time.Mean while, however, it seems necessary that women members should be appointed to the various bodies concerned with selection" on this the Government issued an order dtd 17/12/197 , in that order department issued instructions to various ministries/department to ensure that there should be no discrimination against women on ground of sex.Now the department issued a fresh order No.35021/2/2009 dtd 30/06/09 and ordered to all appointing authorities of all ministries/departments may be instructed to scrupulously observe the following guide lines
1.The composition of selection committees should be representatve.It should be mandatory to have one women member in the selection Boards/Committees fo making recruitment to ten or more vacancies and lady candidates are expected to be available for the service/post.
2.Where the number of vacancies against which selection is to be made is
less than 10, no efforts should be spared in, finding a lady officer for
inclusion in such Committees / Boards
3.In the event of such an officer not being available in the Ministry /
Department itself, there is no objection to nominating lady officer from
any other office at the same station.
