As seen from the Postal Policy declared by the Hon'ble Minister Sri Kapil Sibal and the tender Notification Placed on Indiapost Website for inviting Expression of Interest from experienced and reputed consultancy firms for providing comprehensive consultancy on Detailed Model Concession Agreement on Commercial Development and Management of Vacant Postal Lands under PPP mode Project, It is very much understood that the department of Post is marching towards Privatization. The union government is very much enthusiastic to privatize the postal department by dividing in to three parts like Post Bank of India, Postal Department in government sector to monitor the Postal Players and Postal player in Pvt sector to compete with the other couriers. Now the department is a step ahead to handover the departmental sites to Private parties to operate them in public private partnership. When we see the tender documents placed on India Post website the terms and conditions and motive of the tenders are clearly establishes that the department is stepping towards privatization within a short span of two or three years.
The coming days and future of the workers is in deep crisis. Its time to plan and act against the anti labour and anti workers policies of the Government. Come and lets join our hands to plan and suggest the central leadership to act against the privatization. Lets meet in Circle Conference.
